Fake It Until You Make It!

(God is not fooled and is not a fool)

Within our country many are professing to be followers of Jesus but there is an odor from them going up that surely is a stench in the nostrils of Heaven.

What is that odor? It is the deceitful and deceptive smell of many so-called evangelical Christians and Christian leaders that causes fear and trembling among those who see the Lord as the Great “I Am” rather than as a being who changes according to the sinful desires of man.

It is ironic that so many individuals claim to be Bible believing Christians, yet their theology, doctrine, and positions taken on a myriad of issues including politics and social issues show little kinship with the Christ of the Gospels. Sadly, there are unbelievers who display more warmth and understanding of love of our fellow men and women than these perpetrators of false doctrine.

Should the Lord not be angry that regardless of race, national origin, wealth, or lack thereof; these wolves masquerading as shepherds use liberal or conservative doctrine to lead their flocks to the spiritual slaughter that is sure to come should Christ return and find them praising and promoting Him with self-serving lies?

Jesus said: “And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat

upon that house, and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

Upon closer inspection we find that at the beginning of Matthew 7 we find several verses which many have used to try and avoid conviction by railing against anyone who dares suggest their lives or lifestyles need to change.

No there is no place for self- righteous hypocrites who chastise others while not examining themselves. The goal should be for all to have a real come to Jesus moment. Never being perfect but striving to be all that the Lord desires of you. In other words, there is never an excuse for trying to fake it until you make it.

There is never an excuse for siding with satan while professing to be holy.

As the Sermon on the Mount draws to a close, Christ gives encouragement, assurance, and direction. He warns us to watch out for those deceivers who use the Word of God to suit their own purposes. Then Christ makes statements that should cause believers to flee from those pious or deceptive individuals who go around talking about no one ever going to hell.

Every Christian should with humbleness of spirit and sober reflection ingrain Matthew 7: 21-23 within their heart and mind.

No, you do not have to accept the words of Christ Jesus! You may continue to follow after those who preach a gospel born of fear and anger about where our country is and where they believe it will be; convincing yourself that things that are unholy are of the Lord.

Remember Matthew 7: 7-12. God is neither a fool nor fooled. Only He can turn our country around.

Never let it be said about you and never let it be true about our country: “And great was its fall”.
